Clouds will increase, reaching a high of 42°F with west winds of 10-15 mph and gusts up to 25 mph. There’s a 70% chance of precipitation, but minimal snow accumulation. Friday night will see scattered showers before 10pm, with clouds gradually clearing to partly cloudy and a low of 37°F. A Fairfax City donut shop is back in business today (Thursday) following three days of tax-related closures.

Employees at Duck Donuts confirmed that the store was shut down on Monday (Nov. 18) by the Virginia Department of Taxation, which had placed multiple tax liens on the business.

The Cheesecake Factory is getting ready for its big move across Route 123.

The chain will close its existing location at Tysons Galleria at the end of November before reopening at Tysons Corner Center on Dec. 5 at 11:30 a.m., according to an announcement posted to its website.


A fast-casual restaurant that serves halal chicken tenders, gyros and more into the early morning hours is setting up shop in Fairfax — both the county and the city.

Blazin Chicken & Gyro anticipates opening its first Northern Virginia location at Tysons Station (7502 Leesburg Pike) in Pimmit Hills in early December. The 1,849-square-foot eatery will be located next door from China King in the Trader Joe’s-anchored shopping center.

Sisters Thai is finally cooking in Tysons, almost three years after its expansion plans were announced.

The local chain known for its cozy, bespoke decor will launch its biggest restaurant yet tonight (Monday) at 7735 Capital One Tower Road in Capital One Center. Service will start at 5-9 p.m., with a limited menu available during the soft opening, founder Tammie Disayawathana says.
