On Thursday night, showers may continue until 7pm, followed by early evening cloudiness and gradual clearing, dropping to a low of 25. Japanese noodle shop now serving diners in Idylwood Plaza

A restaurant chain known for its abura soba noodles has begun serving diners in Idylwood.

Kajiken opened its doors on Monday (Jan. 13) at 7505-D Leesburg Pike as the newest tenant at the Idylwood Plaza shopping center.

It won’t be long before pickleballers are dinking and volleying at a new indoor facility in Chantilly.

Owners of the forthcoming Dill Dinkers space are hoping to open doors this spring — a minor delay after they previously anticipated a winter opening.

Upcoming McLean restaurant promises Japanese cuisine with ‘modern touch’

A new restaurant taking shape in McLean hopes to shake up the local dining scene by fusing traditional Japanese cuisine with western techniques and flavors.

Taking the place of another Japanese eatery, Tami Sushi, Sho Sushi & Izakaya anticipates opening at 6828D Old Dominion Drive sometime in February, according to co-owner Pattie K, who asked to be identified by her first name.

Expect scattered flurries to begin after 3pm, with increasing cloud coverage and a high temperature near 31 degrees. The northwest wind will blow at around 11 mph, gusting up to 24 mph. In the evening, flurries will taper off before 9pm, giving way to mostly clear skies and a low temperature around 17 degrees. Fast-casual Japanese chain to open in vacated Burke GameStop

A D.C.-area chain of hibachi restaurants is opening a restaurant in Burke as part of its latest expansion.

Quickway Japanese Hibachi, which currently features six locations across Fairfax County, is coming to Burke Centre Shopping Center, founder Bob Liang confirmed to FFXnow.

Reston Community Center plans weekend of events celebrating MLK Day

Reston Community Center (RCC) will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day for a 40th consecutive year with a full weekend of events and community service projects.

Set for this upcoming Saturday and Sunday (Jan. 18-19), RCC’s celebration will come after the actual anniversary of the civil rights leader’s birthday, which falls on Wednesday (Jan. 15), but precede the observed federal holiday next Monday (Jan. 20).
