Two Fairfax County restaurants rank among 40 best in D.C. area, WaPo critic says

The Washington Post has a new round-up of dining recommendations for the D.C. region, and two Fairfax County establishments made the cut.

Newington’s Afghan Bistro and Neutral Ground Bar and Kitchen in McLean are among the “40 Best Restaurants In and Around D.C.,” says the newspaper’s longtime food critic Tom Sietsema, whose annual fall dining guide published yesterday (Wednesday).

Halal hot chicken eatery opens up in Bailey’s Crossroads

Fear not, seekers of spice — a new spot for hot chicken dishes has opened its doors in Fairfax County.

The Red Bird began serving its halal hot chicken on Saturday (Oct. 5) in Bailey’s Crossroads, following other local outposts in Reston and Vienna.

Corsica Wine Bar set to open next year in Reston

Reston Town Center will welcome Corsica Wine Bar in 2025.

A company spokesperson confirmed the expected timing of the restaurant’s opening. Corsica, a sister concept of Barcelona Wine Bar, will replace French restaurant Mon Ami Gabi at 11950 Democracy Drive, Suite 120.
