Reston’s new-and-improved Whole Foods Market is expected to open next month.

After months of construction, the new grocery store is scheduled to open in the Spectrum at Reston Town Center on Aug. 6 at 8 a.m., the company announced today (Wednesday). It’s located at 1861 Fountain Drive where Best Buy once stood.

Harris Teeter will soon say goodbye to Tysons, a community it helped transform.

The grocery store is set to close on July 20 after 16 years on the ground floor of the Lofts at Park Crest (8200 Crestwood Heights Drive), according to a message sent this afternoon (Monday) to local Harris Teeter members.

After months of anticipation, Northern Virginia residents got their first look at the new Japanese grocery store in Tysons this past weekend.

Shoppers began lining up well before Marufuji Japanese Market (8520-A Leesburg Pike) opened its doors at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, so anyone who showed up on time found themselves at the end of a queue that past the nearby Starbucks and looped multiple times around Tysons 3 Center’s rear parking lot.

Whole Foods Market has set a grand opening date for its new store in Falls Church, which means its 25-year stay in Idylwood is officially coming to an end.

The grocery store’s last day of business at 7511 Leesburg Pike in Idylwood Plaza is currently scheduled for Monday, Feb. 3. However, the timing could change “depending on the store’s in-stock levels,” a Whole Foods spokesperson told FFXnow.

The clock is ticking on Whole Foods Market’s time in Idylwood.

The grocery store has rolled out signs at its Idylwood Plaza location (7511 Leesburg Pike) announcing that it will relocate “soon” to Falls Church City, where it will anchor the new Broad and Washington development at 103 E. Broad Street.
