One half of a paired ice cream parlor and coffee shop in the Reston-Herndon Business Park has arrived.

Moo Thru opened an anticipated storefront for its Herndon franchise at 317 Spring Street last Friday, June 7, roughly a year after the Virginia-based ice cream maker rolled into town with a food truck.

The fast fashion company Primark has set an opening date for its first-ever Virginia location.

The Ireland-based clothing retailer announced today that it will open a 35,000-square-foot store in Tysons Corner Center on July 16. The store will occupy a two-story space that belonged to L.L. Bean for over two decades until its closure in January 2022.

Sola Salons is gearing up to open at Plaza America in Reston later this summer, keeping it on track with the previously reported timeline for its newest location.

“The Reston location will open closer to the end of summer and is corporately owned,” Sola Salons Marketing Director Liz Eggert told FFXnow via email. “The location will also have 63 chairs/salons within the location.”

Greenheart’s area manager, Cheryl Strzemienski, confirmed that the juice and smoothie shop plans to open its sixth location in the North Point Village Center as early as August.

A new option for pickleball has opened in Tysons, drawing players from across Northern Virginia.

The Pickleball Club of Tysons celebrated its launch at 8528 Tyco Road on Mother’s Day weekend (May 11-12) by allowing about 500 people to play on its six indoor courts for free. While no grand opening is expected, members enjoyed food and some friendly competition during a Memorial Day mixer this past Monday (May 27).

According to a spokesperson, the new 50,000-square-foot facility, which spans three levels of an office tower at 1845 Reston Row Plaza, held its soft opening this past Saturday (May 25).

Vivi Bubble Tea is now serving up boba, popcorn chicken and other Taiwanese snacks in Vienna.

Franchise owner Yaya Zhang, who also owns Fairfax City’s Vivi Bubble Tea, opened her second location at 233 Maple Avenue East in the Glyndon Shopping Center on May 13. During its soft opening, the cafe is offering 10% off all drinks.

Heming developer Skanska announced today (Wednesday) that Sunday Morning Bakehouse and Apparati Wellness Studio will both open locations in the mixed-use apartment building at 1800 Chain Bridge Road.
