A Vienna restaurant will close its doors indefinitely next month as it looks for a new home.

The Mixx Delight’s last day of business at 448 Maple Avenue East will be Nov. 17, the restaurant shared on social media earlier this week. The closure was not the restaurant’s choice, co-owner Phi Tran told FFXnow.

A congressional committee is urging Fairfax County to rethink its approach to the use of drones — specifically those manufactured in China.

In a letter sent to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors last month, top members of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party raised national and economic security concerns related to the county’s use of drones made by DJI Technologies.

Fear not, seekers of spice — a new spot for hot chicken dishes has opened its doors in Fairfax County.

Zoom Room, located at 6812 Bland Street, held its grand opening last Saturday (Sept. 21). It’s the first location in the D.C. area for the national chain, which currently has more than 100 centers nationwide.

Two roadway projects set to transform Richmond Highway will take longer to implement than anticipated.

The Virginia Department of Transportation’s project set to expand a portion of the four-lane roadway to six lanes is now expected to be completed in 2032 — six years after the once-targeted 2026 time frame.
