Expect showers mainly after 4pm, with patchy fog developing after 3pm and a high near 52. Winds will be light and variable, with a 60% chance of precipitation and potential for less than a tenth of an inch. Wednesday night, showers continue with areas of fog and a low around 49, calm wind, and a 70% chance of precipitation. Anticipate new precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch. Bank of America proposes drive-thru ATM at former Merrifield Uno

Bank of America is taking over the former Uno Pizzeria and Grill at Gatehouse Plaza in Merrifield.

The shopping center’s owner, an affiliate of the developer Silver Companies, revealed the identity of its new tenant at 3058 Gate House Plaza in a special exception request that Fairfax County zoning staff accepted for review on Feb. 25.

Moo Thru targets summer opening for next ice cream shop in Burke

Moo Thru, a Virginia-based ice cream franchise, is working to open its next ice cream shop in Burke.

Franchise owner Morgan Johnson confirmed to FFXnow that the shop plans to open this summer at Burke Town Center (6025H Burke Centre Parkway). The timing is dependent on permit approvals and construction.

French bakery starts serving fresh bread, pastries in Idylwood

A bakery that aims to replicate the taste and freshness of a Parisian cafe has opened up in Idylwood.

Beau Jour De Ma Vie kicked off its soft opening this past weekend (Feb. 28 to March 1) by letting visitors sample its croissants, tarts and other pastries for free.

There’s an 80% chance of precipitation, and new amounts may range from a tenth to a quarter of an inch. Tuesday night will see rain, mainly after 7pm, a low around 44, and a south wind of 6-8 mph. Anytime Fitness in Twinbrooke Shopping Center will close amid landlord conflict

A gym in Kings Park West will close later this spring, but apparently not by choice.

Operating since 2017, Anytime Fitness will shutter at the Twinbrooke Shopping Center in April as the result of a conflict with Federal Realty, which owns the property, gym owner Brian Samuel told FFXnow.

    Large-scale farmers market to open near Reston Town Center Metro

    EatLoco Farmers Market is preparing to open a location at the Halley Rise mixed-use development, bringing a new weekly farmers’ market to Reston.

    The new market will be held Sundays, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the parking lot of Halley Rise near the intersection of Reston Parkway and Sunrise Valley Drive. March 29 will be the opening day.
