Clouds will increase throughout the day, with a high temperature near 61 degrees. The light west wind is expected to shift to the northwest, reaching 8 to 13 mph in the morning, and could gust up to 23 mph. By Friday night, the sky will be mostly clear, and the low temperature will be around 37 degrees. The northwest wind will be calmer at around 5 to 7 mph. See more from Weather.gov.

South Block to give out free bowls at Reston grand opening

South Block is ready to make its Reston debut, just a few months after confirming the planned expansion.

The Northern Virginia smoothie chain will celebrate its grand opening at 1835 Fountain Drive in the Spectrum at Reston Town Center this Saturday (Oct. 25) with free food, a banana costume contest, giveaways and a live DJ.

Eco-friendly clothing store opens, gift basket shop coming to Tysons mall

With the holiday shopping season on the horizon, Tysons Corner Center is continuing to stay busy, welcoming a number of new retail stores in recent weeks and hinting at more still to come.

The clothing brand Reformation, which prides itself on its sustainable practices, is opening its doors this morning (Thursday) on the mall’s second floor at Unit E001U, near the Apple store and Nespresso.

Halloween celebrations coming to haunt Fairfax County in 2025

Bunnyman Brewing partners with pizzeria for newly approved Lorton expansion

Efforts to expand Bunnyman Brewing‘s footprint at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton are officially on the move.

DrinkLocal LLC, which operates Bunnyman Brewing, has received approval for a lease to control a second storefront across from its existing bar, bringing another dining option to the campus.

Empanada restaurant will replace Mochinut in Reston shopping center

A Reston storefront is the latest expansion target for a local brand offering Argentinian cuisine.

Empanadas de Mendoza, a stalwart at Fairfax-area farmers markets, is moving into a recently-vacated space in North Point Village Center.

Mason Restaurant Week returns for second year with more deals

Though the weather is getting colder, Fairfax County’s Mason District hopes to get residents out to their favorite local eateries with the return of its nascent restaurant week campaign.

The second annual Mason District Restaurant Week launched yesterday (Monday) and will continue through Sunday (Oct. 26) with 17 participating establishments — almost twice as many as last year.
