New mural, playground to be unveiled at Merrifield’s Mosaic District later this month

Thanks to a public-private partnership, a new fixture for kids will be unveiled at Merrifield’s Mosaic District later this month.

The Strawberry Park Playground will offer “an array of play features” for the shopping center’s youngest patrons when it officially opens at 5 p.m. on Sept. 26, the Fairfax County Park Authority and property owner and operator EDENS announced today (Thursday).

Fava Pot, immersive game shows and more coming to The Boro in Tysons

A well-liked local Egyptian eatery, an entertainment venue that lets customers compete in game shows, and other new retailers are about to shake up The Boro in Tysons.

Fava Pot will start moving into 1624 Boro Place on Sept. 20 — the day after Tasty Kabob, which has occupied the storefront since 2020, is set to close.

Fairfax City’s new Shake Shack will open next week

The latest addition to Fairfax City’s Kamp Washington shopping center is set to open next week.

Shake Shack, located just steps from the intersection of Main Street and Fairfax Blvd, will officially open its doors on Sept. 17 (Wednesday), a company spokesperson confirmed to FFXnow.

More eateries coming to former Whole Foods spot in Idylwood

A trio of fast-casual eateries is coming to Idylwood Plaza, further filling out space left empty by Whole Foods Market’s departure in February.

Potbelly and Qdoba Mexican Eats are both anticipating opening at the shopping center in the fall of 2026, property owner Federal Realty Investment Trust announced today (Monday).

    Cirque du Soleil returns to Tysons with Mexico-inspired show

    Cirque du Soleil is back in Tysons.

    After visiting George Mason University’s Eagle Bank Arena last spring, the Canadian circus will once again open up its Big Top at Lerner Town Square (8025 Galleria Drive) for a new show, starting tomorrow (Saturday).
