There’s a 60% chance of precipitation, and new rainfall amounts will be less than a tenth of an inch, with higher amounts in thunderstorms. On Wednesday night, there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am, mostly cloudy skies, a low of 73°F, and a 50% chance of precipitation. One of the world’s largest telecommunications companies has officially opened its Chantilly-based regional hub.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for AT&T’s new building, located at 4807 Stonecroft Blvd in Westfields Center, was held last week, the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) announced.


After introducing itself to D.C. and Arlington in July, the food hall and delivery service Wonder is planning to serve up its roster of celebrity chef-driven restaurants to Fairfax County this fall.

Forthcoming locations in Franconia and Reston are on track to open in September and October, respectively, a Wonder spokesperson confirmed to FFXnow.


A new gym is getting warmed up in Vienna’s former Tuesday Morning storefront.

After months of preparation, Pump24 Vienna anticipates opening in the Vienna Shopping Center at 136A Maple Avenue sometime in August, though the official launch date remains a moving target.

The D.C. region’s annual Summer Restaurant Week is coming back next week, and around 30 restaurants around Fairfax County are joining in.

The restaurant week is run by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), which also organizes winter restaurant weeks. Restaurants offer three-course meals for brunch, lunch and dinner with some wine and cocktail pairings at some locations.

    Hear ye, hear ye! If you’re one of those frustrated by the ticket kerfuffle tripping up the Maryland Renaissance Festival, perchance Tysons could interest you in a little Renn Fest of its own.

    Shipgarten is hosting its Summer Renaissance Festival next Saturday, Aug. 16, from 1-6 p.m. The festival will include presumably biergarten-sized variants of arrow shooting, axe throwing and jousting.


    The credits will soon start rolling on Sundance Living, though its fate won’t be as flashy as the one that awaited the heroes of its namesake movie.

    Apparently shutting down for good, the apparel and home decor chain founded by actor and director Robert Redford is holding closing sales online and at all its physical stores, including the lone Virginia location at the Mosaic District (2910 District Avenue, Suite 140) in Merrifield.
