Saturday night, expect potential thunderstorms before 5am, followed by likely showers and a low of around 65. South winds will be around 8 mph, gusting up to 21 mph, with an 80% chance of precipitation. New rainfall amounts could reach up to a quarter of an inch, with higher amounts in thunderstorms.     Arts festival, summer concerts return to Reston Town Center this month

    Thousands of people are expected to visit Reston Town Center later this month for the return of the Tephra ICA Arts Festival.

    Now in its 34th year, the annual festival organized by the Tephra Institute of Contemporary Arts will take place on May 17 and 18, bringing together more than 200 artists from across the U.S.

    Shop offering custom candles, charm jewelry opens tomorrow in Merrifield

    A store focusing on one-of-a-kind creations is opening in Merrifield’s Mosaic District this weekend.

    The grand opening for District Candle Lab and Fawne — a joint endeavor in one storefront — is scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) at 2910 District Avenue, Unit 130.

    Local couple unveils new Peruvian chicken restaurant today in Vienna

    A new option for Peruvian chicken has arrived in Vienna, courtesy of a couple with extensive knowledge of both Vienna and Peru.

    Cuco’s Peruvian opened its doors today (Wednesday) at 146 Maple Avenue West in the Vienna Shopping Center, taking over a space that had belonged to another Peruvian chicken restaurant, Don Pollo.

    Brio Italian Grille at Fair Oaks Mall appears to have permanently closed

    One dine-in restaurant at Fair Oaks Mall seems to have permanently closed its doors.

    Brio Italian Grille, housed near Cheesecake Factory and the mall’s northeast entrance, said in a sign posted to its front door earlier this month that it has “temporarily closed,” apologizing for the inconvenience and thanking guests for their patronage.
