Expect snow showers that may mix with rain after 1pm, accompanied by mostly cloudy skies and a high near 42. A southwest wind will blow at 6 to 13 mph, gusting up to 20 mph, and there’s a 60% chance of precipitation. Less than half an inch of new snow may accumulate. South Block now serving Dulles Airport amid Fairfax expansion

An Arlington-based chain of health-conscious eateries is now catering to more than just local diners.

South Block began serving customers at Dulles International Airport on Monday, Dec. 30, opening up its collection of smoothies, acai bowls and cold-pressed juice to travelers.

Chantilly’s revamped Farmside Kitchen opens today with free bowls

The transformation of Farmtruck Pizza & Greens into Farmside Kitchen is complete.

After closing last Sept. 15, the health-conscious, fast-casual restaurant reopened under its new branding at 11 a.m. today (Thursday) at 14385 Newbrook Drive, Suite 500, in Chantilly’s The Field at Commonwealth shopping center.

De Clieu Coffee to open new cafe in Reston this year

The new year will bring a new coffee and snack spot to Reston.

De Clieu Coffee and Sandwich has boarded up the windows of a vacant commercial building at 2235 Soapstone Drive near 7-Eleven in anticipation of opening its third location in Northern Virginia later this winter.

As the evening progresses, scattered clouds will begin to appear along with light winds, cooling the temperatures down into the mid 50s overnight. Here is what’s going on Tuesday throughout the county, from our event calendar.

⛈️ Tuesday’s forecast

Expect showers and thunderstorms from 1pm to 4pm, followed by possible showers and storms after 4pm with a high near 57. Southeast winds at 5-11mph will gust up to 20mph, and there’s an 80% chance of precipitation. Rainfall will range from a tenth to a quarter of an inch, with higher amounts possible during storms. On Tuesday night, there will be showers and storms before 10pm with a low around 42. West winds will be around 9mph, and new precipitation will be less than a tenth of an inch. New Year’s Day will be mostly sunny and breezy, with highs around 48 and west winds of 11-20mph gusting up to 36mph. See more from Weather.gov.

Oakton’s SouvlakiBar to reopen after merging with another Greek restaurant chain

Oakton residents craving gyros, spanakopita and more will have to get familiar with a new eatery in 2025.

After closing on Dec. 21, the neighborhood’s SouvlakiBar at 2930 Chain Bridge Road, Suite 111, is in the process of rebranding due to a partnership with a fellow chain of Greek restaurants.
