A New York-based restaurant chain will officially introduce itself to Fairfax City tomorrow (Thursday).

After welcoming its first customers with a soft opening earlier this month, Blazin’ Chicken and Gyro plans to commemorate the grand opening of its second D.C.-area location with complimentary food, juices and milkshakes from 5-9 p.m.

A popular, Asian-focused food hall and other businesses in Annandale’s Eastgate Shopping Center will be required to close or relocate by the end of this summer.

According to Annandale Today, property owner Brian Kim has given The Block, Kimen Ramen & Izakaya and several other retail tenants until Aug. 30 to vacate the strip mall, which is slated for partial demolition to make way for an apartment building.


A popular Northern Virginia donut chain will soon open in Vienna.

Minor renovations are underway on the forthcoming Texas Donuts at 167 Glyndon Street SE in the Glyndon Plaza shopping center. Signage recently posted across the storefront announces that the business is “coming soon,” though employees at another location didn’t know about a possible opening date.

A few months after saying goodbye to the world of “Encanto,” the toy store Camp will welcome Peppa Pig to its Tysons Corner Center location.

A celebration of the popular British children’s TV show, the new themed experience is set to make its debut in Tysons on July 25, staying for a limited time before moving to one of Camp’s eight other retail stores.

    Lake Anne Brew House is getting a bigger space.

    The Reston establishment announced on Wednesday (July 9) that, as of July 1, it has officially leased the neighboring storefront at 11426 Washington Plaza West, which has been empty since Chesapeake Chocolates closed its doors at the end of September 2024.
