    Sisters Thai expands Tysons offerings with grand opening of new cafe

    Patrons at Sisters Thai in Tysons will be sipping plenty of tea this weekend.

    After opening in Capital One Center last fall, the restaurant is expanding the offerings at its flagship location with the introduction of high tea service from its recently introduced Flore Café.

    People to rappel ‘over the edge’ of Reston Station office building for fundraiser

    Over the next two days, residents and visitors at Reston Station will be treated to the sight of people rappelling down a 17-story office building for charity.

    The Google-anchored building at 1900 Reston Station Blvd will be the site of an Over the Edge fundraiser tomorrow (Saturday) to benefit the National Military Intelligence Foundation (NMIF), a Clifton-based nonprofit that supports national security and intelligence workers through professional development and student scholarships.

    Expect a chance of showers before 8am, followed by more showers after 2pm, with patchy fog clearing by 10am. Cloudy conditions will prevail and temperatures will reach around 80°F. The southwest wind will blow at 15 to 17 mph, gusting up to 30 mph, and a 40% chance of precipitation. Moving into Thursday night, there is a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms, as clouds linger and temperatures drop to around 62°F. The southwest wind will decrease to 7 to 11 mph.     Reston resident ‘thrilled’ to bring wellness studio chain to RTC West

    A Reston resident who already teaches meditation and yoga in the area will soon add contrast therapy to her repetoire of wellness offerings.

    SweatHouz is targeting a late spring or early summer opening for its upcoming location at RTC West (12100 Sunset Hills Road, Suite R9), according to franchise owner Natalie Siewers.

    Rowan and Sweetgreen among new shops coming to Fairfax Corner in 2025

    Fairfax Corner will kick off a long year of retail openings with three new arrivals this spring.

    Both salad restaurant Sweetgreen and ear piercing studio Rowan expect to open their doors tomorrow (Tuesday), spearheading a list of half-a-dozen new storefronts scheduled to open in 2025.

    Free concert series Friday Night Live! set for 2025 return to Herndon

    Spring is in the air, which means another Friday Night Live! season is on the horizon.

    The free outdoor concert series will return to the Town of Herndon for its 31st year on May 2. Highlights of the upcoming season include the first-ever introduction of a non-alcoholic beer option and a “special reunion show” by the D.C. area party band Gonzo’s Nose, according to Friday Night Live! Chairman Laura Poindexter.
