After introducing itself to D.C. and Arlington in July, the food hall and delivery service Wonder is planning to serve up its roster of celebrity chef-driven restaurants to Fairfax County this fall.

Forthcoming locations in Franconia and Reston are on track to open in September and October, respectively, a Wonder spokesperson confirmed to FFXnow.

A rapidly expanding restaurant chain has identified Reston for one of its newest locations.

Signage has appeared above a storefront near Home Depot for Nash & Smashed, a D.C.-area chain offering Nashville-style chicken, smashburgers and much more.

Japanese restaurant Japomen, a popular sushi and ramen spot outside the Dunn Loring Metro station in Merrifield, is heading further south in Fairfax County.

Japomen is under construction in the Hilltop Village Center in Kingstowne at 6460 Old Beulah Street. It will fill a space previously occupied by DonutChew between Mattress Warehouse and Deka Lash.

Update Tous les Jours is now open at the Row at Reston Station after a soft launch at 10 a.m. today (Aug. 14). A grand opening celebration with promotions and giveaways is expected in September, property owner Comstock Companies says.

Earlier: Reston Station residents and visitors will soon have a new option for getting their morning coffee or an afternoon snack.

South Block is plotting another expansion in Fairfax County.

The regional juice and smoothie chain has leased one of the new storefronts created out of the former Whole Foods space at Idylwood Plaza. Signage announcing that South Block is “coming soon” recently appeared at the shopping center.

Though one longstanding Chinese restaurant recently closed, another has opened in the Tysons area.

Chef Tan launched its soft opening at Danor Plaza in Vienna Thursday night (July 31), serving up Hunan-style cuisine in the former Zenola suite at 132 Branch Road SE.

Construction permits have been filed for De Ma Vie, a new venture that will take over the first floor of the commercial building at 7787 Leesburg Pike.

California Fish Grill is coming to Franconia.

Building plans for the 2,961-square-foot restaurant at the Festival at Manchester Lakes shopping center were submitted to Fairfax County in mid-July.
