De Clieu Coffee & Sandwiches is expanding west of Fairfax City, setting its sights on a second location along Route 29 this fall.

A popular destination for its lattes, espressos, house-made sandwiches and baked goods, the cafe has served customers at its original location on Main Street since 2014.

Expect showers and thunderstorms from 2pm to 5pm, increasing in likelihood after 5pm, with a high near 87. A south wind will blow at 8 to 11 mph, and there’s a 60% chance of precipitation. Rainfall will be less than a tenth of an inch, with potential for higher amounts during thunderstorms. On Tuesday night, anticipate showers and possible thunderstorms before 1am, followed by a chance of more showers and storms between 1am and 2am. The low temperature will be around 73, with a south wind at 6 to 8 mph. After a successful first year, the Tysons Mixed Market is coming back for a second summer of food, crafts and art.

Organized by the Tysons Community Alliance (TCA), the market will once again bring small, local businesses and artisans to The Boro (8350 Broad Street) every Wednesday for six weeks from 4-8 p.m., starting on Aug. 21.

The Fairfax County 4-H Fair and Carnival is ready to jump back into the frying pan — Frying Pan Farm, that is.

With carnival rides, farm animals and various family-friendly activities in tow, the 74th annual 4-H Fair will set up shop at Frying Pan Farm Park (2709 West Ox Road) in the McNair area south of Herndon from Aug. 1-4.


If you live in the Falls Church area and enjoy chicken salad, you’re in luck. Chicken Salad Chick, the nation’s only fast-casual chicken salad restaurant, is set to open its first D.C area location in Idylwood in two weeks.

Chicken Salad Chick will celebrate its grand opening at Idylwood Plaza (7505 Leesburg Pike) on Wednesday, Aug. 7, offering one free large chicken salad every month for a year to the first 100 guests, among other prizes, according to a press release.
