Started over 20 years ago, the Family Dive-In Movies have become reliably popular community events, where guests can see movies while going for a swim at a local pool.

Some restaurants whose names may be familiar to Fairfax County residents will be cropping up at Dulles International Airport in the coming months.

The airport, which sits just west of the border in Loudoun County, plans to revitalize and expand its shopping and dining experience with eight new venues over the coming year. Another three retail tenants will be added at Reagan National Airport.


Barnes & Noble is preparing to start a new chapter at Tysons Corner Center.

The bookstore chain will reintroduce itself to the D.C. region’s largest mall next month, more than a year after closing its longtime, two-story outlet last May.

A local outpost for organic cotton home textiles will open its doors in Merrifield later this week.

The latest location of Boll & Branch, a “leading designer and retailer of luxury home textiles,” will open in the Mosaic District on Thursday (May 22), according to a company spokesperson.


After an eventful first few months in office, Herndon Mayor Keven LeBlanc is looking to get a pulse check on where the town is now and where it hopes to go in the future.
