Spill-resistant furniture brand opens dog-friendly showroom at Tysons Corner Center

An L.A.-based luxury furniture brand specializing in spill-proof modular sofas is opening its first showroom in Virginia today (Aug. 7) at Tysons Corner Center.

7th Avenue’s showroom — also its first in the D.C. area — will be set up with the brand’s water-repellent, stain-resistant modular sofas in a living-room-style area. The sofas come with removable, machine-washable covers and are designed to let customers rearrange cushions and sides into any type of configuration. The price for a love seat starts around $2,700; a three-seat sofa is nearly $4,000.

Reston Town Center’s Rocktoberfest to return for second year with Vertical Horizon as headliner

After an inaugural Rocktoberfest at Reston Town Center last year, the event will return in October with a new headliner.

Alternative rock band Vertical Horizon will take the stage at the free Rocktoberfest at 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Pavilion at Reston Town Center (11900 Market Street). The headliner will follow regional opening acts Virginia Coalition at 6 p.m. and Everything at 7:30 p.m.

Greenbriar Town Center will soon offer a new option for locals with a sweet tooth.

Dumont Creamery & Cafe — founded in Hyderabad, India, before expanding to the U.S. in 2024 — will open at 13041C Route 50, Suite C, near Chantilly, with a soft launch on Aug. 14, the company confirmed to FFXnow. A grand opening will follow on Aug. 28.

New Orleans-style beignet and coffee shop to hold grand opening in Herndon

New Orleans-style beignets are on the menu at a new coffee shop opening Friday (Aug. 7) in Herndon.

Founding Farmers plans on-site distilleries for Reston and Tysons restaurants

The popular D.C.-area restaurant Founding Farmers is preparing to bring on-site distilleries to its Fairfax County locations.

According to Fairfax County zoning records, Founding Farmers’ existing Tysons and Reston locations each plan to operate a small-scale distillery producing no more than 5,000 gallons of spirits per year for patrons of the farmer-owned restaurant.

Hot N Juicy Crawfish seeks to open second Va. outpost in Centreville

Seafood fans will soon have a new option in Fairfax County: Hot N Juicy Crawfish is preparing to open its second Virginia location in Centreville.

According to county zoning records, the mini chain of Louisiana-style seafood restaurants is renovating the 3,390 square-foot space at 14245H Centreville Square previously occupied by Gaboja II, and Sino’s Inn before that. A “coming soon” sign with the business logo is placed on the windows.
