New ‘membership-first’ veterinary clinic now open in McLean

A “membership-first” veterinary practice opened its doors in McLean for the first time today (Monday).

Transparency and convenience are the ideas behind Small Door Veterinary, which settled on Chesterbrook Shopping Center for its first Virginia location.

    Here are the events planned for Sunday:

    ⛈️ Saturday’s forecast

    Showers and thunderstorms are expected before 4pm, followed by likely showers and potential thunderstorms between 4pm and 5pm, and a continued chance for showers and thunderstorms after 5pm. The high will be near 71 with a partly sunny sky, and a west wind of 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Precipitation chance is 60%, with new rainfall amounts ranging from a tenth to a quarter of an inch or higher during thunderstorms.     Hayfield Shopping Center welcomes authentic Mexican taqueria

    Hungry customers seeking the flavors of Mexico have a new spot to try in Kingstowne’s Hayfield Shopping Center.

    El Fogon Taqueria officially opened its doors in the shopping center this spring with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 8, replacing the former Kochix restaurant at 7554 Telegraph Road.

    Summer concerts return to Reston with Taylor Swift tribute band and more

    A Taylor Swift tribute band is coming back to Reston Station this summer as part of an extensive array of free seasonal concerts organized throughout the area by Reston Community Center (RCC).

    The community center kicked off its annual summer concert and entertainment series over Memorial Day weekend with a jazzy happy hour at Reston Town Square Park (11900 Market Street) on May 23, courtesy of the Tania & Jeff Grubbs Quartet.

    Showers and potential thunderstorms are expected after 2 pm, with patchy fog clearing before 9 am. Temperatures will reach a high near 78°F, accompanied by a northwest wind at 3-6 mph. An 80% chance of precipitation could bring a quarter to half an inch of rainfall. At night, heavy storms may occur before 2 am, followed by a chance of showers. Lows will be around 58°F, with northwest winds at 7-15 mph and gusts up to 22 mph. There’s a 90% chance of precipitation, with rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.     ‘Hidden’ Japanese cocktail lounge opens in Tysons hotel

    A new cocktail lounge with a design inspired by the nightlife in Tokyo, Japan, has opened in Tysons, but it might take a little sleuthing to find its whereabouts.

    The Naisho Room, whose name includes the Japanese word for “secret,” announced today (Wednesday) that it is now operating inside The Watermark Hotel (1825 Capital One Drive) at Capital One Center.

    F45 Training closes Reston Station gym, consolidating at town center

    F45 Training has changed up its routine in Reston.

    The fitness chain closed its Reston Station franchise at Faraday Park (11201 Reston Station Blvd) after May 12 in order to consolidate its operations in the area at Reston Town Center, the gym’s future owner told FFXnow.
