A new spot for Vietnamese cuisine has opened in Fairfax City’s Fair City Mall.

Tucked in the corner of the shopping center near Cinema Arts Theatres is 54 Restaurant Bar & Lounge, a Vietnamese restaurant that says it utilizes fresh ingredients from local farmers. The eatery had a soft opening at 9650 Main Street, Unit 10, on July 18.


After a several-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Springfield Bridge Walk is back on.

The annual event celebrating the connection between the Springfield community and the nearby major U.S. Army installation, Fort Belvoir, kicks off this Saturday (Aug. 17) at 10 a.m. at the corner of Bland Street and Amherst Avenue.

A family-owned circus boasting an international cast of performers will set up its big top tent in Tysons this fall.

Circus Vazquez launched ticket sales last week for its upcoming stay at Lerner Town Square (8025 Galleria Drive) from Sept. 20 through Oct 7. Promising a brand-new show, the company is in the midst of a national tour that will also include Potomac Mills Mall in Woodbridge.

With the Filene Center entering the final stretch of its summer season, Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts is starting to warm up for the fall.

Last week, Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, the nonprofit that supports and programs the national park, announced an initial lineup for The Barns, its indoor venue, that includes an Oscar-winning songwriter, a heralded improv comedy troupe, and other musical and comedy acts.
