Ford Motor-inspired restaurant coming to Fairfax

A restaurant brand inspired by the history of the Ford Motor Company has set its sights on Fairfax County.

Formulators of Ford’s Garage, a burger and craft beer eatery chain, have joined with an area franchisee to add three of the brand’s restaurants to Northern Virginia, the company announced Tuesday.

Revolutionary War-themed events coming to Fairfax for 250th anniversary

The first shots of the American Revolutionary War were fired in Concord, Massachusetts, 250 years ago this Saturday (April 19).

To commemorate the war’s 250th anniversary, there will be a variety of events around Fairfax County over the next few weeks, continuing a year-long, statewide VA 250 initiative.

These Fairfax restaurants are finalists for the 2025 RAMMYS Awards

The list of top contenders for the 2025 RAMMYS Awards is here, and it includes a few nods to the dining scene in Fairfax County, particularly in Tysons.

Among the five finalists for Upscale Casual Restaurant of the Year is Ometeo, which was eligible for the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington’s (RAMW) annual awards for the first time after opening at Capital One Center (1640 Capital One Drive) in Tysons in December 2023.

Yemeni coffee brand opens first D.C.-area cafe in Fairfax City

A Yemeni coffee brand has taken the first step in an expansion to the D.C. area.

Haraz Coffee House kicked off a soft opening today (Monday) for its first location near the nation’s capital. The cafe is housed in Fairfax City’s Fairfax Junction, formerly known as the Westfair Shopping Center.

    Tour de Hunter Mill bicycle ride will traverse new W&OD bridge, Herndon Metro area

    Multiple new thoroughfares line the course for next month’s Tour de Hunter Mill bicycle ride.

    Registration is now open for May 4’s event, which will be the fifth annual bike ride through Fairfax County’s Hunter Mill District.
