Apple’s days at Fair Oaks Mall are running low.
The tech giant will have its last day of business at the shopping mall (11750 Fair Oaks Mall) this Thursday (Nov. 7), an employee confirmed to FFXnow. The closure will precede a relocation to the nearby, outdoor shopping center Fairfax Corner, where the store will open Saturday (Nov. 9).
A new dining option is arriving in McLean, just in time to fortify local voters looking for some grub after they stop by the polls today.
Timber Pizza will serve its first official customers this afternoon (Tuesday), holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 p.m. and opening its doors at the McLean Village shopping center (8100 Old Dominion Drive) at 5 p.m.

A retailer is finally moving into the former Hobby Works in Fairfax City, but the shopping center is staying tight-lipped for now about who the newcomer will be.
Work has begun on a buildout of the 2,450-square-foot space at Fair City Mall (9650 Main Street). The sidewalk and drive aisle in front of the storefront have been blocked off by a fence around the construction area.

A new Starbucks is set to open in Kingstowne Towne Center before Thanksgiving.
A spokesperson for the coffee chain told FFXnow that the new location at 5890 Kingstowne Center, Suite 120 — formerly a My Gym — will be over 2,400 square feet with expanded seating and additional parking for customers.
